Girls Football Provision 2018/19 Season
We cannot wait to start the trials process for our U11/13/15 Girls sides at Llanrumney 3G. All new players who have been nominated should attend this date.
Current County players should attend Trial date 2 for the squad they are eligible for.
Trial date 3 will see us select a final squad for the 2018/19 season.
We look forward to developing the Girls provision in terms of facility usage next season. All training will be at the indoor AirDome and House of Sport on a weekly Monday night slot.
As part of our drive to develop the Girls pathway we will see several new additions to the coaching staff and management structure for next season. Can we take the opportunity to thank Luke Williams and his staff for their hardwork over the last few years and for developing the Girls programme for the Schools environment.
The Girls provision will now be lead by Jamie Sherwood (Yeovil Town FC/Cardiff & Vale College) who comes to the set-up with many years of experience at the highest level of the female game. We will also have specific GK training on a Monday evening also with Matt James. The girls and boys age group teams will train as much as possible in the same environments and be afforded the same level of infrastructure, coaching and development. We will also see a new management structure in place ready for the start of the new season.
Moving forward all information regarding the Girls provision will be posted on this page. The website and other social media accounts (Twitter/Instagram) will also be used for all forms of communications for both the boys and girls pathways.
We look forward to working with all of the players who are successful at the forthcoming trials.
Good luck to all who trial!
